One mad, sunny Saturday in April, around 70 of us met up in Tsuruga to embark on what turned out to be about an 11 hour rally!  We had missions to do, photos to take...and obaachan (lit. "grandmothers") to kidnap, not to mention Japanese to scare.  Points were awarded for tasks completed, questions answered, specified photos taken (with a bonus of 10 points per new obaachan holding Doraemon), and for completing the logic puzzle.

My team:  The Four Hamsters consisted of:

      Driver: Me

Navigator, Problem-solver, and Obaachan Cajoler:  Brandon

Problem Solver 2:  Kara

Problem Solver 3:  Mary

We made all the check-points on time (more-or-less) and completed most of the problems and tasks set, to come in an amazing fourth position!  (out of over 14 or so teams, not bad!).  

The rally took us around Tsuruga, through Mikata and down to Obama.  At the end of the rally we met up at a beautiful camp site in the mountains, where we were provided with dinner, drank ourselves silly and danced, chatted and compared photos the night away, before finally crashing out and sleeping in our log cabins!

A really great experience, I hope this car rally happens again next year.

	Kara - completing another challenge! The drive up to the place where this was taken was a  challenge, to say the least.  But then, driving a yellow-plate,  going up any hill can be a challenge...   ...the smell of burning coming from the car was far from encouraging, however...
