Flick and I decided to make the most of some time off, and go and visit the only famous tourist place in Fukui-ken - Eiheiji Temple.  It was absolutely beautiful, and so peaceful.  We spent an afternoon just wondering about, with the monks bustling around us.  You will note that there are no pictures of the monks, as it is prohibited to take photos of them...

Eiheiji Temple is quite large, and built going up a fairly steep hill.  I'm not sure if you can get an idea of scale from the photos, but I've tried to get people in where-ever possible.

See also the Zen Buddhist quotes which I copied down from the temple.
