20 ALTs (assistant language teachers) and about 100 senior high school students from Takefu Higashi spent two intensive days together, trying to improve the students' English ability. All ALTs were given a group of 5 students, who we had to help with their presentations (or the debate, for older students). It was a really hard couple of days, but we ended up having a good time in the end (despite the endless supply of rice, for breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Towards the end of the event, the ALTs put on two shows - the "boys group" (of which Emily and Devon were also members), but on a "Blind Date" game show-style performance, and the "girls group" (of which I was a member) put on a performance of "The Wizard of Fuji", loosely based on TheWizard of Oz. Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of my groups show.

Students Presentations
Younger students give presentations in English on Japanese culture. All the presentations were really good, and we enjoyed watching them all.

Skipping
One of the games we played in the evening to try and wear the student out. They still didn't go to bed, though! |
