We had a lazy morning, Brandon, Christina, Amber and I got the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Kyoto to Okayama. We had a wonderful meal at an Asian restaurant near the station, and met up with Brandon's friend - Craig - who was to take part in the festival.
After dinner, us four girlies walked to the youth hostel. And got lost. But happily, between the four of us our Japanese is now at a level where we can not only ask for directions, but more-or-less understand the answer!
We made it to the youth hostel fine, and joined the other people staying there and a guide from the hostel itself, and we all trooped to the train station to get a bus to the temple where the festival was to take place...see what happened next.
