We had all morning free, so we decided to go on a mini Fukui adventure.  The weather was beautiful - as you can see.  It was really warm (especially for January).  This was possibly one of the most fantastic and memorable days of my parents' visit.

We sit round a fire with the proprietress of 
Senko no ie - she was really friendly, and very informative 
(she spoke minimal English, so we were relying for the most part on my Japanese skills!!!)
