They call it "OOOOOOOyuki" As in BIIIIIG snow. There's a reason. If you come from somewhere like Canada or the North Pole, you'll probably be wondering what all the fuss is about. Well, you try driving across sheets of ice in a K-plate (660cc engine car)...and staying warm in a country that doesn't believe in central heating, let alone insulation.
Shouldn't moan, though. I mean...we do
have a heated carpet, after all ;)
Well, this was the first day of the big snow of this year, so to be honest, it
wasn't that bad (at least not on the main roads!). Oh, and typically...it
was a Monday. (Hence my bad mood: Having to get up extra early in a
freezing room...mad dash across the even colder kitchen into the icy
bathroom...wait while the water heats up...hot shower...mad dash back to still
freezing bedroom and throw clothes on...then out to shovel car out of snow
(actually, that's Tom's job)...and a very stressful and long car ride to
work. ON A MONDAY. It should be illegal.)
See what happened the rest
of the week

(I've been driving the other route to school after this - this road is too dodgy in the ice, as there's a huge drop on either side) |

A crazy man (in green). This guy was actually moon walking in the snow. Weird. |

One of the third-grade students slides into school (incidentally, the snow is now above the top of the barrier - 03/02/05) |
