Ok, so we've been assure it should have only taken somewhere between 30 minutes and 45  minutes.  So why did it take us nearly three hours?  We started chatting, of course!  Incidentally, on the way back, we ended up on the Hokuriku Expressway(!).  

Thanks to Hans and Christy for waiting for us, and taking us to a great okonomiyaki restaurant.
