Ok, ok, I KNOW it's a bad pun.  Couldn't resist, though...

 

So here we are at Echizen Pottery Village, having fun pottering our time away (damn!  there I go again...).  1,000 yen (about £5) buys you a lesson, the materials (including 1kg clay), and as much time as you need (well, within reason...).  They also glaze and fire your pots for no extra charge.  Other activities they provide includes painting pottery which you can buy there.  Maybe we'll do that next time...
