After two weeks of intensive training for this big dance competition, Brandon was ready to get down to it.  I, on the other hand, was still trying to work out which was my left foot and which was my right (and who's foot I was standing on...).

Ten of us from the International Club Yosakoi Dance Team headed down to Obama (two and a half hours away by car)  for the afternoon and evening (together with Yoshi, Ajiko, and a few other supporters).

Despite my nerves, it did actually turn out to be a really fun day, and I even managed to keep in time with everyone else (more or less).  At the end of the competition, all the teams learned a new dance, and performed together.  It was a really great feeling, and everyone had an excellent time.  I was surprised with how many people were there to watch.  The event included much more than just the dancing, and was actually spread over four areas.  We were down on the waterfront, which was beautiful.

Congrats to our team for winning "Best Lyrics", and a huge thank you to Kyomi, Nagisa and Hideyo for all their help and support with extra rehearsals, and also thank you to the rest of the team for you patience and encouragement (especially when I tried to run away).
