May 2006 - Present

Last Updated: 20/08/06

We moved into Base Camp in May (not long after our return from Phase 3), and have been thoroughly enjoying our time here.  It's a great retreat, and has been a really tranquil place to help deal with returning/moving to the UK.  What can I say - we share a weird sense of humour!  Here are a few pics to give you an idea of what Base Camp (and the surrounding area) looks like:

Peas!

I planted them a bit late, but they seem to be catching up, and
are doing really well!

Picking strawberries

I can't believe how well the garden's doing (especially given that neither Tom nor I are of the green-fingered variety).

It was a real mess when we moved in, and we're slowly making progress

Tom potters home from the pub

The route to & from the train station (and nearest pub) takes us through a huge field full of sheep - like this cute little guy

Our favourite pub nearby - across the sheepy field!
(this photo was taken during the heat-wave in July 2006, hence the rather scorched-looking grass)
