Olly's Birthday
A picnic (and
games) by the Observatory
|
A game of rounders (or cricket? or ricket? or
crinders?)
in which I apparently managed to demonstrate that it is possible to look
elegant whilst running in high-heeled sandals with skirt hitched up (not
pictured)...
(didn't score a rounder, though) |

Tom enjoying
the game
|
| The obligatory picture of the suspension bridge! |

|
Linny's leaving do
(Linny pictured
here with Hannah)
|
| Tom, clearly impressing Oliver... |

|

|
Tom, having better
luck impressing the ladies!
(For everyone else
who went to the leaving do - apologies for not getting my camera out sooner!)
|
|

The Bristol Harbour Festival:
Acrobatics, boats,
street performers, and beer
(not to mention
the left-over blood-stains from a stabbing the night before...)
|

A very cool piece of street performance

Tom with my mum in Exeter
Mum popped over for the day to bring some important documentation we
needed. We don't have many photos of the day, because it basically
involved drinking and eating...! We all had a really fun day, and were
suitably impressed with Exeter!
|

The Bristol Balloon Fiesta
Drinking is not just what we do with my parents, as Tom demonstrates here
with his mum and dad!
|
Despite having lived here for 4 years while we
were at uni, this was the first time we've been able to make it to the balloon
fiesta. There was a lot going on, including this sky-diving
demonstration
(Apparently this parachutist wasn't Scottish...) |

|

|
Is it a satsuma?
Is it an orange?
No!
It's a balloon!
|
| The balloons start to inflate ready for the
night-glow |

|

|
A group of over 20
hot air balloons, all in very close proximity, took part in the fabulous
night-glow, set to music
|
| Glowing in the dark |

|

|
The night-glow had
a distinctly Spanish theme, with some dodgy Spanish-type music
It was really
imrpessive, though
|
| Final shot! |
