Torquay for fish &chips

Strange, but true... despite coming from a little island, I've never had fish and chips at the seaside.  So, on a whim, we drove down to Torquay for lunch on the drizzly harbourside.  It was fabulous!  We did a bit of shopping, had a beer, and walked along the beach...

Flick & Lewis come to visit

We haven't seen Flick & Lew since 2005, when we left Japan... and it was really weird meeting up in England!  I mean, what ever would we do without Bear's Bar to hang out in???

We made do with all that Bristol and Bath have to offer, and had a brilliant weekend catching up on all the news!

Sunday Lunch with John and Hazel

Tom's Godfather and Honorary Godmother came to visit us for Sunday lunch.  It was lovely to see them - I can't believe 12 months has gone by since the four of us last met up!  We're very much looking forward to the next time.

London: Chinese New Year & Gilli's Birthday

We pottered to London to celebrate Gilli's birthday, and on our way through we crossed China Town - just in time to see some of the Chinese New Year celebrations

The streets were packed, and there was lots going on...

not to mention the festival food!

In the afternoon, we met up with Gilli and some other friends from our uni days...

Congratulations to Beth & Olly, who've recently announced their engagement!!

We had a fun evening in Bristol celebrating with the happy couple, and catching up with some friends we haven't seen for a while
