June & July 2007
Last Updated: 11/10/07
Tom spent most of June/July in Germany and France with work (hence the selection of mushy photos...apologies!), but we still managed to fill up the rest of the time...
Mum came over and we spent a girly weekend in the Cotswolds, Tom & I went to the fabulous RIAT (Royal International Air Tattoo) at Fairford, we also spent a weekend in London, drank Pimms and caught up with some of the Barnardo's crowd at Hannah's housewarming party, and pottered round a few festivals.
Somehow we managed to avoid all the
flooding that hit the country (not quite sure how...), but we did experience an
awful lot of rain!

Another weekend together - Tom and I decide to go on a lovely walk on a Sunday in summer Yes, it poured down, but the walk was fabulous (and the pub at the end was even better!)

Royal International Air Tattoo We spent a totally brilliant day at Fairford (luckily we went the day it didn't rain). The static displays were really good, and the air displays were breathtaking! This was my first experience of a real air display/tattoo (up until now, I've only seen the annual Battle of Britain display in Jersey, which is fantastic, but not as good as this!). We arrived as the gates were opening and left as they were closing, and I reckon we could have spent twice as long there!

Last Night of the Proms at Westonbirt Arboretum We were really lucky - the rain held off until the very end! So we only got a bit muddy! The show was really good, and I'd love to go back again next year... the fireworks were especially fantastic

Bristol Harbour Festival We drank local beer, ate organic burgers, listened to some live bands, bought fruit from the visiting French market, and generally fought our way through the crowds...
