We managed to avoid the second bout of flooding, and the weather improved quite a bit!  Mum came over to see the Balloon Fiesta, Dad came over and we explored the Avon Valley Railway, Tom and I did some gardening (and fought off some GIANT slugs), and, most significantly:

 

We finally bought a wardrobe!!!

 

Yup.  It's only taken 15 months, but we finally did it!  Goodbye bookshelf/shower rail contraption, hello tidy apartment (ahem).  After one (major) setback (we broke it), we finally got our (act and) new furniture together.  Although we have them, we still haven't attached the handles...
