We trundled over to Old Warden for the Bank Holiday weekend to see the air display - mostly comprising the fantastic Shuttleworth Collection. While we were in the area, we also went to Blenheim Palace, where there was jousting and a birds of prey display. The weather was perfect all weekend!
Mum came to visit, and we spent the weekend at the fabulous Cedar Falls health spa (where they do indeed serve alcohol*, and wonderful food), for some much needed R&R. The treatments we had were really good, and the self-defence class was definitely a good experience ;) We left feeling very relaxed and refreshed, and wishing we could afford to go every month!
Apart from buying and testing a new BBQ, the other main thing to note for May was that we received a free gift from National Geographic. It is possibly not quite as inappropriate a gift as the crappy free sunglasses that came with last month's Harpers Bazaar, in terms of readership demographic... but even so... are there really people this big, and with so little sense of colour?
*Naturally, we checked this before we booked in
