I headed over to England primarily for Suzy and Dan's wedding, but Tom and I actually spent 5 days together in England (apart from two days he spend in Jersey, this is the most I saw of him in 5 or 6 weeks!).
We spent two days in Bristol, going back to old haunts and meeting up with a few uni friends. We also got poshed up and went out for a fabulous meal to Byzantium, where we ate the most wonderful food we'd eaten since the last time we went there, got drunk on expensive liqueurs, and were entertained by a magician who was pottering between the tables. We've eaten here three times now, and we both highly recommend it (but be warned - it isn't cheap).
From Bristol, we drove down to Brighton, stopping off the night before at a nice little B&B within striking distance of the church.
After the wedding, we visited Salisbury, Old Sarum and Stone Henge, staying that night in a fab little pub in the middle of no-where - again getting drunk on expensive wine!
Here are a few pics....

Clifton Suspension Bridge. Designed by Brunel, but not constructed until after his death. Famous Bristol landmark. |
