A Quite Remarkable but Unfortunately Not Updated Gallery
During our travels the best place to see pics is via the Travel Diary, or...

The rest of the gallery is lying dormant at present. Please do not touch the exhibits - they may bite...

Visiting Nara at New Year - January 2005 Rather than head straight back to Fukui after the trip to Thailand, we decided to stay down south and explore Nara - the first permanent capital of Japan. We were blessed with lovely sunny weather and (as it was New Year) more festival food than you could shake a cow-on-a-stick at! |

Trip to Thailand - December 2004 COMING Um... when I get home!! We had a great time in Chaing Mai and Bangkok and squeezed so much into the six days in Thailand! I took so many pics that it has taken a while to sort out, but give me a millennium or two and I'll get them up. In the meantime - check out Adele's pics |

Visit to Hiroshima - November 2004 A stay in Japan is not complete without a visit to it's most infamous city. The image most people have of the first city to be destroyed by an atomic bomb is that of a somber memorial, but Hiroshima is so much more than that. With fantastic nightlife, shopping, great food and more sights than you can shake a maple encrusted stick at - we were reluctant to return to our little Fukui... This gallery has been divided into three (because I took too many photos). Day 1 - Peace Park and Atomic Bomb Museum. Day 2 - Miyajima Island - Itsukushima Shrine and Maple Trees. Day 3 - Hiroshima Castle and Shichigosan Festival. |

Sakura (Cherry
Blossom) season of 2004 Taking everyone [well.. me] by surprise by appearing early this year, the first blossoms opened up on Tuesday 30th March in Fukui. This gallery contains pictures and a little information about what goes on in Japan during this rather good excuse for a festival! |

A gallery of rogues -
the best and worst foods of Japan The beginnings of a project very dear to my heart! |
Just in case you are remotely interested, one of my goals at the moment is to sort out a home-made php and mysql photo gallery with a search engine. Like most things codey however, this will probably take me forever to actually perfect, so until then I'll pop photos up in the usual fashion but in a format that it's easy to apply the database structure to...
