From Kyoto, we headed to Fukui in the afternoon of the 24th. Ideally we'd have spent the time travelling elsewhere, as Mum did Fukui pretty thoroughly last time she was over. However, work got in the way as I had to be back in the Shi for the contract signing ceremony on the 25th. We made the most of it - arranging a dinner at Tengu so mum could meet some of my friends.
Thanks to Flick, Mary, Ruan, Beth, Matt T, Jose, Christina and Adam for coming along and making it a great evening.
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos at the meal, but afterwards the hard-core
party-goers (Mum, me, Christina and Adam) went on to Swing and Base - a
jazz bar by the station, where we continued to drink.

And there we are again - this time making use of a tech-savvie waiter, aka Christina's god! (he makes margaritas) |
